Background:

Bluekoko initially established itself as “another” daily deals platform and at one stage was successfully running over 150 deals per week for our Merchants. During that phase however we very quickly discovered various pitfalls in the Daily Deal marketplace. These pitfalls included:

  • Heavy discounting & extortionate commission were simply not sustainable.
  • “Smash & Grab” campaigns didn’t deliver long term loyalty for Merchants
  • Everybody was running the same deals
  • Money needed to be held back because the model was open to abuse
  • Merchants were damaging their brands and struggling to maintain price point in the public domain.
  • Merchants were bound by Deal Providers’ schedules

As a result we revisited our business model and established something that rectifies all of the above and better supports Merchants.

In association with Team Rewards & Choice Extras, we have established a new marketing tool offering merchants a gateway to over 3.5Million employed people, their families & their friends.

How It Works

Firstly, we create 100’s of webpages showcasing the merchants business and place them on each of our partner channels, for example ASDA, M&S and 100’s of others.

Then we give the merchant the deals tool which allows them to create special offers for each of the partner channels so they can attract new customers when they need to the most.

Employees find and redeem merchant offers via online partner webpages, Intranet sites & dedicated mobile applications

Once a customer has been or used the merchants product or service they will leave feedback for their fellow employees to see. Merchants start to increase word of mouth based on recommendation and build up a bank of loyal advocates.
